    Thomas holds a Master’s degree in financial engineering and business finances obtained from Paris-Dauphine. He started his career as an auditor at KPMG, and worked in particular for international key accounts in the agrifood sector.

    He joined SOCIETEX in 2005 as assessor, and worked in particular on operations with the Ministry for Finance and the AMF (the French financial market authority).

    He took over a 50-people strong agrifood company in 2008 which he developed for 5 years (including the construction of a new plant), and which he then transferred to a French family-run group.

    Thomas re-joined SOCIETEX in September 2014, and now provides both his technical valuation skills as well as his personal experience to better advise his clients as regards transfer & acquisition operations.

    Thomas Beaurain was appointed Chairman of SOCIETEX in April 2019.

    Jean-Jacques holds an Expert-accountant diploma and a Master’s in Economic Sciences, major in Money & Finance. He started his career at Crédit Agricole where he worked in management control, investment banking and financial operations.

    In 1994, he integrated the Private Equity division of Crédit Agricole Group and became General Manager of IDIA and Deputy General Manager of Union d’Etudes et d’Investissements, where he invested in many SMEs and mid-caps along with his teams.

    He left Crédit Agricole Group in 2005 to create an independent management company, managing private equity funds dedicated to investments in small and mid-cap businesses. He resigned from his position as managing partner in 2017 and sold all his shares after contributing to the company’s development, which now manages over €500 million.

    Jean-Jacques joined SOCIETEX in 2018 and provides his knowledge of investment funds and the world of SMEs and mid-caps, both as regards development and transfer of ownership.

    An engineer with a diploma from Ecole Centrale Lille and Master of Business Administration HEC (ISA), Pascal has held Management Control, Financial Management and General Management responsibilities in various European and American companies operating in the High-Tech, Media and Communications sectors (Digital Equipment Corp, Hewlett-Packard Corp, Softbank, Ziff-Davis Publishing Corp, Adlink Internet Media AG, United-Internet AG, Ateme).

    Pascal joined SOCIETEX in 2006 as Technologies specialist.

    Krzysztof graduated from the Solvay Business School in Brussels, where he obtained an MBA in 1981. He has held various managerial positions within large international groups, including the position of Acquisitions Director for Brambles Industries, a group listed on the Sydney stock market.

    Krzysztof joined SOCIETEX in 2001 and provides his expertise in the areas of retail, specialised distribution, medical devices and B2B services, and works in particular on cross-border operations, due to his fluency in English, German, Dutch, Italian, Czech and Polish.

    Hélène holds a Tourism Management and Marketing Degree from Institut d’Aquitaine. She started her career as Event Manager within the CWT Meetings & Events agency and managed the organisation of conventions, mainly for pharmaceutical laboratories.

    In 2010, she took part in creating the on-site CWT M&E event management team at Microsoft. This external team is in charge of organising 5,000 operations per year (meetings and events) on the Group Campus in Issy Les Moulineaux. She became its Deputy Manager in 2012 and took over the technical supervision of the team.

    Hélène joined SOCIETEX in January 2019 as Office Manager, and now brings her organisational, administrative and digital skills to the team.

    Nathalie holds a DESS FINANCE diploma from the IAE of Paris and a Management Master’s from Dauphine. She integrated an audit firm for 5 years, in which she developed her rigour, her ability to analyse and synthesise, and her organisational skills.

    Her next experiences as Management Controller and AFD in different sized companies with various activities – and in particular at Intersport International – enabled her to reinforce her leadership and management skills.

    In 2007, strong with her 15 years’ experience within various Companies, she set out – a pioneer at the time, as a Part Time AFD to support many SMEs. Her first client was SOCIETEX, which she has helped since June 2007!

    She was able to develop Financial Director skills as well as skills in administrative, legal, human resources, business and start-up management.
    Her versatility and the diversity of her experiences enable her to adapt and work on many operational missions, and above all, to quickly and efficiently understand the challenges faced by business managers who need support, whatever the size of the company.

    A CentraleSupelec engineer, Thierry has worked for most of his career in industry, as a manager, both in large groups (Valeo, Faurecia) and in SMEs: Farman (robotised installations) and HMY (leader of retail space furniture and layouts).

    Over the past few years, he has worked as an industrial coach for start-ups and SMEs. In the past, he has also been a marketing and product development consultant.

    During his career, he has steered several business transfer, acquisition and merger operations.

    Thierry joined SOCIETEX in April 2020, and provides both his extensive knowledge of the industrial sector, his strategic experience in M&A and his networks in South America and Asia.

    Valéry holds a diploma from ESSEC and has over 20 years’ experience in Finance and business creation.

    In 2014, he was one of the first French entrepreneurs to create a FinTech dedicated to crowdlending. Very quickly, the platform financed over 100 SMEs based throughout France, and was later on sold to a strategic player.

    Valéry started his career at Citigroup in New York and London, as M&A investment banker for listed companies. He also advised international private equity funds during their LBO operations.

    He was also an equity trader investor at Société Générale in Paris, during 6 years. He was in charge of fundamental long-short strategies, merger arbitrage and IPOs.

    Valéry regularly intervenes in ESSEC’s Executive programme.

    Valéry joined SOCIETEX in January 2021, where he provides his expertise in the TMT and Financial Services sectors.

    Holding a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Paris Sorbonne and a Chartered Accountant, Olivier has more than 20 years of experience as CFO / DAF, acquired both within multinationals (Compaq, HP) and SMEs (Manutan, Sofema, Groupe RG) in various shareholder contexts: listed company, family company, LBO, etc.

    The common point of these experiences lies in a strong international exposure, mainly in Europe and the USA, which allowed him to acquire the codes of management and business development outside France.

    Olivier has also developed a comprehensive operational expertise in M&A operations and post-acquisition integration. In this capacity, he has led more than 15 business acquisition/disposal operations so far, two-thirds of which consisted of “cross-border” transactions.

    Olivier joined Societex in December 2022, notably bringing his expertise in the multichannel distribution sector and international transactions.

    Yoann holds a Master’s in Corporate Finance from the Université de Bourgogne and a Master’s in Management and Sales Engineering from the ICD Business School. He undertook his whole university curriculum as a sandwich course at Banque Populaire and Société Générale.

    In 2015, he integrated the Banque Palatine as Junior Corporate Project Manager, where he actively took part in financing SMEs and mid-caps.

    In 2017, Yoann joined Bpifrance, where he was in charge of development in the banking field of a client portfolio made up of SMEs and mid-caps.

    In March 2021, Yoann came to reinforce Societex’s teams and advises business managers in their external growth projects. His areas of expertise include Media and Communication, Transport and BtoB Services .

    As part of the economic recovery plan, Yoann is one of the Societex reference persons in charge of advising SME managers on participative loans and stimulus bonds. His banking background, his knowledge of Bpifrance and his close relations with SME managers reinforce Societex’s expertise.

    Elie graduated from SKEMA Business School with a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance. Elie started his career within the Private Banking division of Société Générale (SGPB) as Product Advisor in the Advisory Desk on the UHNWI segments. He then joined D&A Corporate Finance, an independent M&A boutique focused on the small and midcap segments as M&A Analyst where he worked on several transactions in various fields: Tourism, Healthcare, E-commerce, BPO, Smart city…

    Elie joined SOCIETEX in 2018. Since then, he has advised several entrepreneurs & shareholders in disposals, transmissions, and other financial operations (OBO, LBO…). He has been involved in various sectors of activity such as: Industry, Electronics, Defense & Cybersecurity, B2B and B2C Services, Retail, Food…

    With a strong international background and several experiences abroad (Denmark, USA, Brazil), Elie is also regularly involved in cross-border sales or acquisition mandates.

    He is also involved in some complex valuation missions.

    Clément holds an engineering diploma from the INSA of Rennes and a Master’s in Corporate Finance from Audencia Business School. He started his career in the construction sector as a works engineer at NGE in Nantes, Eiffage Construction in Rennes and Vinci Construction in Bordeaux.

    Clément joined SOCIETEX in 2018. Now M&A Director, he advises entrepreneurs & shareholders in their transmission, acquisition, financing or valuation operations.

    Clément has a strong expertise in the Construction, Industry and B2B & B2C Services sectors.

    His dual background as engineer-manager, his field experience with the leaders of the construction industry and his recent operations reinforce the expertise of SOCIETEX.

    Master’s degree in Finance from ESCE business school, Masters’ degree in Corporate law and banking & financial law from the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, as well as a Master in accounting and management, Quentin started his career in 2016 in valuation and financial advisory at FINEXSI, where he worked on fairness opinions and contribution/merger appraisals for listed and non listed companies. He then joined in 2020 the corporate finance division of the “Autorité des Marchés Financiers”, the French stock exchange regulator, working on rights issue and market abuse regulation, as well as ESG matters.

    Quentin joined SOCIETEX in 2023, where he is involved in M&A advisory and valuation assignments.

    Bernard trained at HEC (1974) and started his career first in the sales sector at Xerox then in the financial sector within Suez group.

    He acquired and managed SMEs in the nautical and IT consultancy sectors from insurance companies for over 10 years.

    Bernard integrated SOCIETEX in early 2006 and provides his experience in creating and taking over businesses as well as in managing High Tech and finance Group subsidiaries.

    He has many operations to his credit in the fields of cosmetics, IT, services, medical and agrifood, both in France and abroad, such as the transfer of ALKOS Group to KDC or the acquisition of Transit Group by LDC.

    He has helped a certain number of business owner-managers over time, whom he advised in the context of multiple investment and transfer operations.

    Former Chairman of SOCIETEX, Bernard works as a Senior Advisor on complex missions.

    François graduated from HEC and started his career at the Institut du Développement Industriel, one of the capital investment pioneers, but quickly oriented himself towards M&A by joining a consultancy group. He became a partner when the latter was converted into a subsidiary, under the name of Finance Partenaires, and took the majority share in the early 90s.

    After developing a cooperation agreement with CEPME (which has now become OSEO), Finance Partenaires regained its independence in 1999 to join with SOCIETEX, of which François became a partner, providing his expertise in the industry sector.

    A former student of École Polytechnique, Pierre-Yves started his career as researcher at the CEA (the French atomic energy and alternative energy commission), then as strategy consultant at Boston Consulting Group.

    He then worked as Marketing & Strategy Director and General Manager, both in European and American Groups, leaders in industry and distribution. In this capacity, he took part in many transfer and acquisition operations.

    He now assists business managers in implementing their transformation projects.

    Pierre-Yves joined SOCIETEX in 2014 as Senior Advisor. Hiss areas of expertise cover in particular value creation, innovation and performance and implementation issues.

    Pierre graduated from HEC Paris in 1973 and from the Executive Program of Stanford Business School in 1987. He has performed responsibilities as International Sales Director (and was in particular Sales Director for Turbomeca) for over 10 years, before taking on general management responsibilities from 1988 until 2018, mainly in the automotive and aeronautics industries.

    More specifically, he was Chairman of the fasteners manufacturer Simmonds-Mecaero, General Manager for Gevelot Extrusion, Chairman of IN-LHC (Intertechnique Group), General Manager of ECE (Zodiac Group), and Chairman of Triumph Controls (Triumph Group).

    He is also a former auditor of IHEDN, administrator of the GIM (Groupement des Industries Mécaniques of Île de France), the MEDEF for East Paris, and of the HANVOL association, as well as a member of the Strategic Orientation Committee of LNE (Laboratoire National d’Essais).

    He joined the Business Mediation unit within the Direction Générale des Entreprises (DGE – French directorate general for enterprise) of the Ministry for Economy, as Deputy National Mediator.

    Pierre joined SOCIETEX in 2019 as Senior Advisor, where he provides his knowledge of the aeronautics and automotive industries, as well as international deployment issues.

    Robert graduated from Arts et Métiers and has worked all his career in the energy sector. First at EDF, in engineering, structuring offers for export, construction, nuclear unit start-up and their transfer to the operator, both in France (Dampierre en Burly) then abroad (Koeberg in South Africa, Daya Bay in Mainland China).

    From 1991 to 1999, he worked at EDF GDF Services, as Director of the Ariège Departmental Agency, then in Lyon, he was responsible for management control and steering performance for the South East region.

    From 1999 to 2014, he worked with GDF and GDFSUEZ, where he conducted several missions as General Manager and member of the Board within foreign subsidiaries based in Hungary (Egaz and Degaz), Slovakia & Czech Republic (SPP) and Poland (GSEP), where he led major restructuring operations and projects and strongly improved performance.

    Since 2014, at Engie, he takes part in evaluating projects proposed by the Business Units and validated by the Group parent company (some 150 operations amounting to over €10M per year).

    Robert joined SOCIETEX in 2019 as Senior Advisor and provides his expertise in the industry and energy sectors.

    Christophe graduated from the Ecole Spéciale Militaire de Saint Cyr and the Ecole de Guerre, and spent his career within the Ministry of the Armed Forces and the highest institutions.

    He has held several positions within the army :

    • Manager of different 100 personnel strong operational units: conducting populations protection operations in Kosovo, Ivory Coast, Guadeloupe and Central Africa…
    • Analyst within an office in charge of organising the Land Forces as regards human resources and equipment.
    • Operations Director in Djibouti: headed a management team in charge of preparing and managing the operational engagement of an 800 personnel strong unit in a desert environment.
    • Crisis Cell Team Leader: at the Planning and Operations Centre (CPCO), he managed a team of analysts in charge of monitoring, anticipating, updating and assessing situations on the African continent, in the context of international crises.
    • Operating Director for an operational unit within the Ministry for Armed Forces: directed an operational unit comprising 700 personnel members.
    • Strategic and Innovation Director: he manages a team in charge of providing their security expertise to the highest political and military authorities.

    Christophe joined SOCIETEX in 2019 as Senior Advisor, where he provided his expertise in the area of cybersecurity, defence and industry.

    Philippe has a Higher Education Diploma specialising in Finance and Econometrics from Université Paris Dauphine and a SciencesPo/IFA certificate as Independent Business Director. He has over 30 years’ experience in the areas of finance, capital markets and consultancy.

    After starting his career at DAFSA, then at BFT and CONCEPT, Philippe specialised in financial risk management at Chase Manhattan from 1991 to 1996. At HSBC, he developed a very successful experience in the area of bond finance.

    Since 2016, Philippe has developed a portfolio of start-ups focussing on innovation and environmental impacts. In 2017, he created Finance & Innovations Durables and advises start-ups, SMEs, family-run Groups and mid-caps. In 2020, he joined Arts & Métiers Accélération as a member of the Board of Directors.

    As a Senior Advisor, he provides SOCIETEX with his expertise in finance, strategy and governance.

    Olivier graduated from Université Paris IX-Dauphine, with a DEA in Organisations IT, and a Master’s in Accounting and Financial Sciences and Techniques. He started his career in 1985 as external auditor for Deloitte.

    In 1991, he joined Yves Rocher Group as advisor to the Chairman, then transferred to Milan in 1995, as General Manager for Yves Rocher Italia. Along with his team, he established a durable model for profitable growth. Olivier returned to France in 2000, as Group Strategy Director, with the operational responsibility of the Asia division and led major growth projects.

    In 2007, Olivier joined Louis Delhaize Group (main brands: Cora, Match, Truffaut, Animalis, etc.) as Business Development Director. He identified, assessed and proposed to shareholders opportunities for external growth, new activities, partnerships and launching operations in new countries. He encouraged and advised the brands in their innovative projects.

    Olivier joined SOCIETEX in late 2020 as Senior Advisor, where he provides his knowledge of the retail sector.

    Claudine graduated from ESSEC Business School (International General Management) and has held various management positions in companies of various sizes (20 years with European Fortune Global 500 and the last 10 years in American and European startups), for global development via organic or inorganic growth, fundraising, etc.

    With rich experiences in multiple activity sectors on four continents (digital transformation, telecommunications, medtech, biotech, energy transition and mobility, etc.), in supporting companies and entrepreneurs in France and abroad, designing and deploying growth strategies (notably, director in an American growth equity firm for fundraising on all continents until introduction of a subsidiary on the Nasdaq Global Market), Claudine also makes use of her multilingual and public relations skills (former journalist).

    Her personal commitments include a mandate by decree from the Prime Minister, as a French Foreign Trade Advisor, for concrete support for the internationalization of French companies, the attractiveness of France and advice to public authorities.

    Claudine joined SOCIETEX in 2021 as Senior Advisor and provides her expertise in the fields of health and digital transformation, and global growth strategies.

    Mathias BOURGOIS has more than 30 years of experience in the consulting sector and in the management of SMEs

    After starting his professional career in consulting at Ernst & Young, he joined large groups as a management controller, and then, in 1993, began an entrepreneurial career, with the creation of a first company that he sold before taking over an industrial company that he developed for 22 years. In 2020, he joined the company SOCO&FI to assist company directors with their development, growth, recovery and transfer issues. He is very involved in the support of young managers and offers his skills to institutional networks in the region.

    Mathias BOURGOIS has a Master’s degree in Management Sciences (finance and management control option).

    Graduate of ESSCA, Pascal’s first experience as a company manager was to help develop factoring on the French market in the 1990s, first at Facto-France and then as Client Director at SLIFAC, a subsidiary of Crédit Lyonnais, which in 2000 became EUROFACTOR, the European leader. He was responsible for the design of several types of factoring contracts that are still in force today.

    In 2005, he took advantage of his dual experience as an entrepreneur and banker to buy, with two investment funds, a company specialising in building and urban cleaning. Five years later, on the strength of a significantly increased turnover – and profitability – this company was sold to a European Facility Management Major.  He will remain there until June 2018 as CEO, then as Development Director of a branch grouping together seven other subsidiaries specialising in Urban Cleaning.

    In 2022, after training as an APIA director, Pascal joined SOCIETEX and brought his experience in the development and financing of SMEs, particularly in the world of community services, construction, shipbuilding, nautical construction and the trade of public works and agricultural equipment.

    A graduate of the Lyon Management School (EM Lyon) in 1986 with a Master degree in Innovation Management, Claude-Yves has managed companies of various sizes for 25 years.

    Over the last 32 years he has created, managed and provided consultancy to private and state-owned companies based in France, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

    He has run media activities for Caisse des Dépôts, CANAL+, Lagardère and France Télévisions (France 5 and France 2) but also given Radio France expert advice on its diversification strategy by creating Studio Radio France.

    Moreover, he has been the CEO of an SME specialized in consultancy services to investors and states for eight years.

    Marc has over 30 years of experience in equity transactions, successively as M&A advisor, corporate banker, and private equity investor.

    He began his career as a structural engineer at Framatome where he contributed to the construction of the French nuclear fleet. After obtaining an MBA from HEC, he joined Crédit Lyonnais in 1990, first as a Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor, then as a banker in the Structured Finance Department.

    In 2000, Marc participated in the creation of Crédit Lyonnais Private Equity (which later became Crédit Agricole Private Equity and then Omnes Capital), of which he became a member of the Executive Committee. Within this multi-strategy asset manager, he successively became Senior Partner of the LBO fund, then Chairman and Managing Partner of the Mezzanis mezzanine funds.

    Since 2013, he has been developing an independent activity advising managers and investors on the realization of strategic financial transactions, with in parallel a teaching activity at Paris-Dauphine and investor in startups.

    Grégoire is a graduate of HEC, New York University and London Business School.

    Recognized expert in the world of cosmetics, he spent more than thirty years in management and general management positions in France and abroad in major international groups (L’Oréal, Bourjois Chanel, Estée Lauder, Revlon, LVMH).

    Grégoire then started “a second life” as an entrepreneur/buyer.

    He is also recognized in the world of Human Resources and Human Capital since he successively took over, turned around and sold NIM Europe to make it a French and international player in Interim Management, NIM Europe now belonging to the Menway Group.

    Grégoire joined Societex at the end of 2022 as Senior Advisor where he brings his expertise in the Luxury Sectors and Companies dedicated to Human Capital Management.

    A graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Paris, Jean-Eudes joined his father in 1982 in the management of the family business, which became the TESSON Group, before handing over the presidency to one of his daughters in 2022. Initially specializing in coldstorage, the company has diversified into digital, energy efficiency, tourism and has become the French leader in wine and spirits logistics. It is also present in the digitalization of wine distribution.

    At the same time, Jean-Eudes has had numerous commitments in associative or professional structures. He chaired the European Cold Storage and Logistics Association (ECSLA ) and for 30 years the french association. From 2011 to 2022, he chaired Urssaf Caisse Nationale and the Union of National Social Security Funds before joining the presidency of Unedic in 2022.

    He is also president of the Club des Trente, a club of leading entrepreneurs in the Big West of France who work together to innovate, inspire and support regional development and transitions. He is also a member of the board of the Family Business Network (FBN France) and president for the Big West of France.

    Graduated frome the Paris Institute of Political Studies, the University of Law in Cardiff, United Kingdom, the University of Law in Nantes, and the Harvard Kennedy School, Julien embarked on his career within the French administration, where he held leadership positions at the French Development Agency in Brussels, the General Directorate of the Treasury, and Business France.

    He also served as an Economic Counselor at the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations in New-York and at the French Embassy in the United Kingdom. Additionally, he represented France at the European institutions in Brussels for several years, notably during the financial crisis that affected the Eurozone in 2011-2012. Until 2023, he was an Advisor to the Director General of UNESCO, responsible for public-private partnerships and the organization’s financing.

    Recognized as an expert in economic and cultural diplomacy, he currently assists companies, governments, and international organizations in their development and investment strategies.

    Julien joined Societex at the beginning of 2024 as Senior Advisor.

    Franck graduated from a hotel school and obtained the Franco-American IMHI MBA in hotel management (ESSEC-Cornell University). He started his professional career in operational positions within the hotel sector, both in France and abroad, then worked in purchasing, management control and financial affairs positions within catering and hotel groups.

    Franck worked for Sodexo from 1995 to 1997, successively on operating sites, then fulfilled central logistics and supply chain positions. In 1997, he joined the Quick fast-food group, as management controller on the French market, then as financial controller for Benelux, new markets and the Group financial affairs. From 2001 to 2008, he worked for Société du Louvre-Groupe Taittinger as Financial Affairs Manager, where he worked in particular on the sale of the Group in 2005. In late 2008, he joined Red 2 Green, a consultancy firm specialising in advising businesses undergoing change. In 2010, he created his own consultancy firm for investors and managers in the hospitality sector.

    He provides SOCIETEX with his expertise in the hotel & catering sector.

    Hoang obtained an engineering diploma from ENSAM (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers), and accomplished his military service as a VSNE (Volontaire Service National Entreprise) in the Comoros during 16 months.

    When he came back to Paris, he joined the internal audit department at JP Morgan bank, then was transferred to London in 1994.

    After 1 year at JP Morgan London, he established the market risk management team at The Royal Bank of Scotland.

    In 1997, he joined Banque Paribas as Risk Management Manager for activities such as Fx, currency options, etc.

    In 2001, he became Manager at Commerzbank in charge of proprietary trading activity risks in London.

    In late 2003, he became an investor for the fund of funds New Finance Capital, first in London, then in New York, where he was in charge of selecting hedge funds and measuring financial security performance.

    Following the purchase of NFC by Schroders, he ensured the transition from 2012 to 2015, especially on the Ucits platform (GAIA) and the alternative strategies implemented by Schroders.

    Back in Paris in 2016, he became “business angel” within several networks (ENSAE BAE, and AMBA), and in particular Arts et Métiers Business Angels (AMBA), where he became manager of the IDF division (over 100 member-investors)
